Le groupe finlandais Turn On formé en 2013 à Turku au sud de la Finlande nous revient avec leur quatrième album The Ghost On The Wall. Exit le clavier, aujourd’hui la formation passe de cinq membres à quatre, Hemppa Sihvonen (guitare), Sami Tammioja (guitare), Jarppa Mäkinen (basse), Oka Oksanen (batterie), et Jukka Salmi (chant). Cet album est largement un cran au-dessus de leurs précédents albums ; le son de Turn On est le résultat d’une synthèse entre rock, blues roots et soul avec des riffs très rock sur certains titres comme Snake Woman & Save My Soul, où les guitares se font la part belle. Sur le titre mi tempo Holly Water & la sublime ballade The Ghost On The Wall on ne peut qu’admirer l’étendue vocale de Jukka Salmi. Ghost on The Wall dans l’ensemble est un album riche et varié tant ces musiciens sont influencé par le Blues, la soul, le rock ‘n roll, le gospel, la country ; de plus il fait le lien entre ces musiques et celles de différentes époques. Ces vétérans dans la force de l’âge perpétuent donc et portent haut en couleur la flamme d’un genre d’un classic- blues-rock inépuisable.
